If you’re anything like me, I’m constantly adding to my Pokemon card collection!

But the one thing I care about almost as much as opening packs, is storing my cards correctly.

History has taught us – cards that may not be worth a great deal now, might be worth a small fortune in the future!

And when it comes to values, condition is everything.

So in this article, I’m going to share with you what I think are the best binders for Pokemon cards.

Let’s get into it…

The Best Pokemon Card Binders

1. The Premium Zipped Binder

  • These are some of the best Pokemon card binders on the market
  • They have a thick rigid outer shell, often made from PU leather
  • The zip stops the cards falling out
  • They’re side-loading, which also stops the cards falling out
  • They’re usually water and splash resistant

2. The Toploader Binder

  • A fantastic newer edition to the market, enabling the collector to insert toploaders to each slot
  • Great for added card protection
  • It also makes it easy to take cards out – which can sometimes be difficult with normal binders

3. The 12 Pocket Binder

  • Unlike most binders which have 9 pockets per page, these 12 pocket binders are wider and can fit more cards
  • Brilliant for those who collect master sets and want to showcase more cards per page

4. The Plastic Strapped Binder

  • Ideal for kids and less valuable cards

Pokemon Card Binder FAQs

How do you organise your Pokemon card binders?

I prefer to organise my binders by set, and then in number order. I love collecting master sets (which is every card in a particular set) so by organising this way, it just helps me keep track of where I am!

How do you store your Pokemon card binders?

I store my binders upright, like you’d see books on a bookshelf. This stops any possible movement of the cards. I’m also aware of humidity and dampness, so give that some thought too, if your cards are particularly valuable.

What is the biggest Pokemon card binder you can buy?

The biggest Pokemon card binder that I’ve come across is has 12 pockets per page, has 52 pages and can store 624 cards in totals.

What is the rarest Pokemon card binder?

In my opinion, the rarest binder is the original one from 1999. You can still find a few on eBay and they’re super nostalgic!

Are binders bad for Pokemon cards?

No, I don’t believe binders are at all bad for Pokemon cards. Providing they’re made with quality in mind, they’re a great way to preserve and appreciate your cards. If you’re worried about cards getting dinged or damaged in a binder, then perhaps consider grading them instead. This is the process of encapsulating them in plastic, and will give your cards the ultimate protection, long-term.
